Take a bake break

No matter how much fun you have baking fresh bread you will encounter times when you just do not want to. This is completely normal and it happens to me all the time.

Recently for Spring break I travelled to family in Northern California. Because of this blog I felt obligated to take along my sourdough starter and keep it active. On the day I was to pack and get outta dodge, I just did not feel like bringing it along. I stuck it in the fridge and headed out the door.

Four days later, after unpacking and settling back into life I thought I would take the starter out of the fridge and bring it back to life. While looking at the container in the fridge I simply did not want to. I had zero interest in making bread. So you know what? I didn’t.

Take breaks.
